BIOGRAPHY

Yue Zou was born in Dalian (China) in 1996. She took her first piano lessons at the age of five. After six years of professional training at the Affiliated High School of China Conservatory of Music, she moved to Germany at the age of 17. There she continued her bachelor's degree at the Freiburg University of Music with Gilead Mishory and Tomoko Ogasawara. She completed her studies with distinction in July 2018. Since April 2019, she has been studying at the Karlsruhe University of Music with Prof. Kaya Han in the Master Piano program, which she completed with distinction in 2021. She is currently studying Master of Contemporary Music and Soloist Examination at the Karlsruhe University of Music with Prof. Momo Kodama and Prof. Markus Stange. In the course of her studies, she became increasingly enthusiastic about contemporary music and took part in many concerts. During her Bachelor's and Master's studies, she worked with the composition students in the class of Johannes Schöllhorn at the Freiburg University of Music and the class of Prof. Markus Hechtle at the Karlsruhe University of Music and successfully performed many compositions.
