"He is an impressive pianist ... also a sensitive and charming chamber musician."
(Daniel Harding, conductor)

Born in Ukraine, raised in Germany, Andrej Jussow received international recognition as a pianist at an early age. He was musically influenced and encouraged for more than a decade by Sontraud Speidel, professor at the Karlsruhe University of Music. Through Michael Uhde and Markus Stange, also professors at the Karlsruhe University of Music, he also expanded his profile as a chamber musician. He was also artistically enriched by Evgeni Koroliov, Karl-Heinz Kämmerling, Lylia Zilberstein, Evgeni Malinin, Lazar Berman, Menahem Pressler and Martha Argerich.

Andrei Yussov has performed in many countries in Europe, the USA, Russia and Japan. He won numerous international competitions, received several awards and is a recipient of the European Cultural Prize. For more than ten years he has been solo pianist at the Württemberg State Theatres in Stuttgart and performs regularly with the Stuttgart State Orchestra. His extensive solo and chamber music repertoire includes over 30 piano concertos, including all the piano concertos by Beethoven, Chopin and Rachmaninoff.

Andrej Jussow began his pedagogical career while still a student and became a lecturer at the Karlsruhe University of Music after his concert exam. Since 2021 he has also been involved in the organization of the chamber music course. He also took on various leadership positions in artistic and interdisciplinary projects, is one of the founders and a board member of the "International Society for Art Projects of Classical Music" as well as a member of the artistic management of Classicum - Künstlermanagement für klassische Musiker.

Due to the experiences of his concert-goers and his unusual life story, which is connected with a long struggle to overcome a rare hand anomaly, he is equally sought after by the press and event organizers: "A concert like a crossing over, a wandering around the world. That's all art can do." (Markus Noichl, Memminger Zeitung, after a concert with works by Ludwig van Beethoven in 2020)
