Institute for Music Journalism active on Instagram

Social media has become an integral part of our everyday lives alongside the classic media and is becoming increasingly important in terms of communicating journalistic content in an appealing way, even to a younger target group.

The students of the Institute of Music Journalism have been represented with two channels on the social media platform INSTAGRAM for some time now, but since the summer semester of 2021, this type of journalistic reporting has also become an important part of our education. In differently designed posts, students report on their assignments and topics that they are currently working on and dealing with during the semester. They announce their live broadcasts on our radio station "Junger Kulturkanal 104.8", introduce the lecturers and what they teach them in the lectures and seminars, or share with us their projects that they have developed and completed in the seminars. These activities are supervised by our social media expert Bjoern Krass from Berlin, who provides the students with professional advice.

The students are currently working on an exciting project to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Karlsruhe University of Music, which includes 50 glimpses behind the scenes and into the history of the university and Gottesaue Castle. Take a look, it's worth it! We are very much looking forward to your visit!
